MENTORSHIP PROGRAM NETWORK
Through our Mentorship Program called Leadership in Economic Development Network, we match experienced economic development practitioners with those professionals interested in growth and development based on similar interests and specific needs.
The program’s mission is to enhance the economic development profession in South Africa by facilitating growth through professional development, leadership opportunities, and connection to the economic development community of practice in South Africa. Through these connections, we share our collective knowledge, benefiting economic development efforts across the country.
The program begins every year at our annual South African Economic Development Week in October. Mentor’s and Mentee’s will meet for the first time, face-to-face. From there, Mentor’s and Mentee’s are charged with meeting at least three times throughout that year.
Applicants can include those starting out in the economic development field or seasoned professionals. Submit an application, and GROWTHMAP will work to find the best mentor for you in our network.
